This news talks about a female victim of rape as she was coming back from a night out in Merseyside in Liverpool. It was report on the 9th of October but doesn't state the reporter who wrote the entry however this entry is was reported on the BBC website.
It states the time of day the incident took place even where is was near too also when it happened which is "05:30 BST on 28 September". The reporter also informs the reader what happened after it happened possibly from the woman's point of view, giving the reader an understanding of what happened and how the perpetrator got away.
In my opinion this article has a lack of information and reporters opinion relating to the incident that happen. For example this is another article on the same incident.
The rape was reported to the police after the victim went to hospital for treatment a short time later.
Extensive inquiries by specialist detectives from the force’s rape investigation team ‘Unity’ are being carried out and officers are providing support to the 18-year-old victim.
Unity team detectives are keen to identify and trace the man in the CCTV stills as they believe he may have information that could be important to their on-going investigation.

Anyone who recognises him should call the investigation team on 0151 777 1382 or share information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

This news article on the same incident tells us that the girl was a teenager of 18 years old who was on a night out with friends. It also gives the Reporters opinion the issue as he/she states "horrific assault".
The reporter also gives more information compared to the entry on the BBC website. This evident as it states "after walking a short distance away from the cash machine" which gives the reader more detail on how the incident transpired. Finally the article from this site gives reader information on how to go about helping the police in their investigation regarding the rape crime.
A cold subject to blog about however the opinions and information put into it was incredible; I especially like how you helped the audience understand there was a lack of information in the actual article.
ReplyDeleteHowever sometimes extra information is withheld due to police enquires so this must be notified or taken into consideration.
Great article non-the less
